Prof. Dr. Lamp obtained his veterinary degree from Justus-Liebig University Giessen, Germany, in 2005 and his PhD from the same university in 2009 and 2011. He joined the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, Austria, as a trained virologist in 2012, where he worked as a research scientist and virological diagnostician until 2019. The results of his research have been published in international peer-reviewed journals and presented at international congresses. His research focuses on viral-related diseases of livestock and insects. He has been a member of the ECVM since 2021.
