Milena Tresch studied Veterinary Medicine at the Vetsuisse Faculty in Bern, Switzerland and graduated in November 2018. After her graduation Milena worked in a small animal clinic, before she went back to the university in order to start her doctoral thesis in Mycoplasma research group of Prof. Joerg Jores at the Institute of Veterinary Bacteriology (IVB) in Bern, Switzerland. Her research focused on heterologous protein expression in mycoplasmas.
In December 2020, she joined at the diagnostic unit of the IVB, the Center for Zoonoses, Animal Bacterial Diseases and Antimicrobial Resistance (ZOBA). In March 2021 Milena started her ECVM Residency with Prof. Joerg Jores as her main supervisor and residency programme director.
