Sandra Barth studied veterinary medicine at the Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany. After graduating in 2021, she started working as a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Virology at JLU, investigating an important honeybee virus. She is currently a postdoc and junior scientist at the Institute of Virology, focusing on positive-sense single-stranded RNA viruses. She is also participating in the German Specialization Programme “Specialist in Veterinary Microbiology”.
