It is with great pleasure that we announce the upcoming 3rd International Conference of the European College of Veterinary Microbiology, that will take place in the form of a Webinar, on 16-17 October 2021.
In the last years, there is a great concern about the One Health concept that implies animal disease aspect, antimicrobial resistance and the importance of pathogenic microorganisms among animals, humans and ecosystems.
Appearance of pathogenic microorganisms is probably accompanied by co-contamination of the environment, leading to a major clinical and public health concern within the lifetime of most people living today. WHO appealed for an urgent and concerted action by governments, health professionals, industry, civil society and patients to recognize the importance of One Health.
The primary objective of this meeting is to bring together researchers involved in Veterinary Microbiology related with emerging diseases/antibiotic resistance that can spread between animals and people and their environment. Moreover, most emerging infectious diseases in humans are zoonoses. The meeting will take an integrated approach to research and it will bring about researchers specializing in different subjects. We expected to present a universal vision of the importance of One Health in different ecosystems and what can be done about it.
