In 2021 the ECVM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (EAVLD) and the ESCMID Study Group for Veterinary Microbiology (ESGVM) and a joint committee was established including representatives of each organisation.

The Study Group for Veterinary Microbiology (ESGVM) promotes veterinary microbiology in Europe, using a One Health approach. ESGVM is one of the many Study Groups within the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID). To promote mutual collaboration, we would like to invite you to become an ESCMID member and join ESGVM. If you become an ESCMID member, you will enjoy major benefits including a subscription to ESCMID’s journal Clinical Microbiology and Infection, meeting discounts and eligibility for grants and awards, professional information and programmes. Any ESCMID member can freely join ESGVM and other Study Groups of interest.
