Please be informed of the launch of a non-profit campaign aiming to raise public awareness of animal health and veterinary medicine.
The campaign is realised through the following activities:
- A popular-science book series titled Veterinary Medicine for All, and
- The site DrHippocrates.com hosting video presentations, animated etymology of scientific terms, and interactive training applications (https://youtu.be/GceJh4fZIS4).
The aim of Dr Hippocrates (DrHippocrates.com) is to become a free-access vehicle of education and raising awareness in animal health, animal welfare, and public health protection.
The approach of DrHippocrates.com is to use veterinary science as a means to understanding the One Health concept, or in other words that health protection has to be approached with respect to the interdependence of humans, animals and the environment.
The material presented in DrHippocrates.com consists of video presentations relevant to the site’s subject, including the origin of selected scientific terms (animated etymology), education applications such as crosswords and puzzles of various levels of difficulty, and book presentations.
