Dr. Felix Reich

Dr. Felix Reich graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (TiHo) in 2004 and received his doctoral degree in 2007 for studies on Campylobacter in broiler meat production. Until 2018, he worked as a scientist at the Institute of Food Quality and Food Safety (TiHo) on various food microbiology studies with a special focus on foodborne pathogens, lectured in the university veterinary program, and became head of the institute’s microbiological laboratory for routine diagnostics in food. In June 2018, he received the venia legendi in food hygiene before joining the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment in August 2018 as a working group leader for food technology in the Unit Food Hygiene and Technology, Supply Chains, Food Defense, Department Biological Safety.
