Dr Ilias Bouzalas was graduated from the Veterinary Medicine School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2003. After accomplishing his PhD in the Lab of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases of the same School, he was hired as a PostDoc student in the Vetsuisse Faculty of Berne, Switzerland. Since 2017 he has been worked as a Researcher in the Veterinary Research Institute of Hellenic Agricultural Organization-DEMETRE. He has participated in more than 8 research projects, either as a Coordinator or as a member. He has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and reviews manuscripts for a number of journals. His research area has been mainly focused on pathogen identification and antimicrobial usage.
