Heather Graham studied Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht, The Netherlands and graduated in February 2019. She took up the position of veterinary microbiologist in training at the department of diagnostics and crisis organization at Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (Lelystad, The Netherlands). Heather is involved in the interpretation of test results, test development including quality systems and the communication towards clients including the Dutch authorities regarding the diagnostics of notifiable and non-notifiable diseases. In addition, Heather specializes in (notifiable) equine diseases and notifiable bee diseases and acts as point of contact for these diseases. She also has a special interest in parasitology and has been leading the diagnostics of parasites at the department of diagnostics since October 2023. In September 2024, she passed the examinations to become a Diplomate of the ECVM. She has been a board member of the European Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (EAVLD) for three years and is keen on strengthening the relationship of the EAVLD with other organisations, like the ECVM.
