Ioanna Lucia graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Padua, Italy, in 2010 and presented a two years experimental thesis entitled: “Presence of Listeria monocytogenes in healthy cattle at slaughtering: first results”, supervisor of Prof. V. Giaccone.
Subsequently, received a postgraduate fellowship at the Microbiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Padua, supervisor Prof. V. Giaccone.
From 2013 to 2014, she carried out an internship at the Microbiology laboratory of the Department of Molecular Medicine, University of Padua, scientific supervisor Prof. I. Castagliuolo.
From 2015 to 2016, she attended an internship, Department of Medicine, University of Padua supervisor Prof. P. Simioni. Afterwards, she obtained a Research Grant within the scientific project entitled: “Concentrated of the coagulation Factor V derivative from human plasma”, Faculty of Medicine, University of Padua supervisor Prof. P. Simioni.
In the 2021, she obtained a Specialization in Breeding, Hygiene, Pathology of Aquatic Species and Control of Derived Products, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Padua.
From April 2018 to July 2019, she worked as a hematologist specialist at the Hematology Unit at the San Marco Private Veterinary Clinic and Laboratory Analysis, Veggiano, Padua.
From July 2019 to today, she is the head of Microbiology Unit Laboratory of the San Marco Private Veterinary Clinic and Laboratory Analysis, Veggiano, Padua.
On 1 August 2023, she started her ECVM Alternate Residency Program with the director and supervisor of the residency program Prof. G. Franzo (DVM, PhD, Dipl. ECVM).
